Kanbe Zaidan Scholarship

The Kobe Foundation grants subsidies to Kanbe Zaidan for training aspiring young potters. The foundation’s goal is to support the growth of Japanese culture by awarding scholarships to both students and practicing artists who display exceptional abilities and a genuine passion for ceramic arts.

ELIGIBILITY: Non-Japanese citizens between 18 to 40 years old are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The applicant must be residing in Japan currently or have plans to reside in the country. Individuals must demonstrate through a well-articulated proposal the ability to work and carry out research in the field of ceramics. In addition, the applicant must acquire either a “Student,” “Trainee,” or “Cultural Activities” visa to be eligible for the scholarship.

AWARD: Up to Half a million Japanese Yen per recipient. Funding amount of funding will be divided by each person.

Kanbe Zaidan Scholarship

ADB-Japan Scholarship Program

The ADB-Japan Scholarship Program provides approximately 140 postgraduate scholarships annually for individuals pursuing studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other fields related to development.

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants who have earned a Bachelor’s degree and are under 35 years old are eligible for this scholarship. To qualify, applicants must also be citizens of one of the eligible countries for assistance and gain admission to one of the 25 Japanese universities affiliated with ADB.

AWARD: Those who are selected as recipients of the scholarship will receive monthly allowances, as well as complete waivers for tuition fees, travel expenses, health insurance, and book costs.

DEADLINE: To apply for the scholarship, interested individuals must submit their applications through the affiliated university at least six months before the program’s start date. To find out more information about the scholarship, please click the link below.
